FUNCTIONAL CAPACITY EVALUATION (FCE)
Kim has been a provider in FCE’s to all major Workers Compensation carriers in Tasmania and the Motor Accidents Insurance Agency (MAIB). She is a Provider of quality FCE’s for the Tasmania Government through their Risk management Provider Panel. The WorkEval™ System of Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) was developed from the Blankenship™ Functional Capacity Evaluation System by Keith Blankenship. Keith Blankenship was one of the first physiotherapists to develop an FCE program in the mid 1980’s. His method is described in 'Guide to the Evaluation of Functional Ability - How to Request, Interpret and Apply Functional Capacity Evaluations' by Elizabeth Genovese and Jill S. Galper AMA© 2009.
Kim was accredited in the Blankenship System in 1997 and again 2004. She studied under Keith and completed the FCE training for the third time with him in Atlanta Georgia USA in 2012.

The things that separate this FCE system from others:
-
The WorkEval™ system has the best and most thorough research supported system that includes standardised, accepted and peer review test protocols to support the individual tests that are used in the WorkEval™ FCE process.
-
The WorkEval™ Reliability Profile determines whether the FCE results are reliable and can be used for medical and vocational planning. It determines whether the patient being tested is demonstrating a pattern of cooperation with the FCE process that affects the results.
-
Validity Profile is part of the Reliability Profile that helps to determine whether the client is exerting a sincere level of effort on the function tests. Based on the number of criteria passed will determine valid or invalid FCE results
-
Defensible in court
-
WorkEval™ software provides ease of documentation and creates efficiency by performing all the calculations and producing reports. WorkEval™ software allows flexibility by allowing users to enter results by keyboard or WorkEval’s™ computerised gauges or interfaces.
-
The WorkEval™ system is highly mobile.

REFERRALS
A referral from a Doctor is not necessary for private patients. If you are a workers compensation, MAIB, Veteran Affairs or other third party patient, you will require a Doctors referral prior to being assessed by a Physiotherapist.

FEES
For Private Patients:
Fees are payable at the time of your consultation, which can also be claimed at the time of your consultation using your private insurance card. We have access to Hicaps which in most cases only require a small or no out of pocket co payment. We also have EFTPOS.

THIRD PARTY COMPENSATION
If your Physiotherapy treatment is due to an insurance claim and your claim is accepted, we will be able to send the invoice to your insurance company directly.

CANCELLATION POLICY
A cancellation fee will be charged for non-attendance or failure to notify the practice within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. In the case of Functional Capacity Evaluation Assessment (FCE), we require 3 days notice for FCE conducted in Devonport or 1 week notice for other Statewide appointments.
